Welcome to the 2021 COVID art exhibition. This exhibition was run by Lauren, the art therapy student on placement at BCO.
COVID-19 hit the world without warning almost two years ago and has impacted nearly everyone in some way. Part of the work at BCO is to create opportunities for members of the community to share their stories, express through creativity and build connections. We decided to hold an exhibition based around the theme of COVID to give individuals a chance to speak about their experiences, both good and bad. These artists range from individuals living in social housing, individuals living rough and individuals living independently.
"Through working with and learning from these individuals, it has reminded me how important community and creativity are, especially in a time where we have been more socially isolated than ever. I want to thank each and every one of you for contributing to this exhibition and sharing your story with the community, but most importantly, for gifting me with your time over the past three months. This would not have been possible without your trust and hard work."

I hope you enjoy viewing and reflecting on these art works.
Thank you.
