Description
I would describe my experience of the pandemic by saying it’s like I have been trying to push through or pierce a flat plane of muddy mist, mixed with a deep sense of drifting and disconnection.
This abstract artwork symbolises how I feel hollow, frameless, unhinged, unscaled and undefined, through the use of non-distinctive shapes and unnecessary complication of the lines and colours. Looking at this piece I feel like my imagination has gone into overdrive with a lack of dimension, groundedness and anchorage. There is a sense of chaos and timelessness in the artwork which relates to my experience over the past 18 months.
The light at the end of all of this, feels like the size of a pin pick. Its small, but it’s there.
